Prior to your field trip, the lead field trip administrator will provide you with information regarding the activities planned for the trip, expectations for supervising students, and emergency procedures.

Chaperones must be 21 years or older. Each chaperone is assigned a small group of students. The mentor serves as a role model for the student, demonstrating values of punctuality, dependability, reliability and will help the student appreciate the importance of education, both personally and professionally. The mentor's duties are to help with homework, encourage attendance, tutor, listen to the student's concerns and help the student find solutions. A mentor is expected to commit to meeting with their mentee at least twice a month to ensure consistent support.
